Retail Dimensions, Inc.(RDI) offers a plug-in to Retail Pro® that allows a customer to have multiple ship-to addresses. The plug-in works in Retail Pro version 8 series and gives the customer the ability to select from multiple ship-to addresses at the time of ordering.
Multiple Ship-To Addresses
This feature enhancement allows a user to set up multiple shipping addresses for any selected customer within Retail Pro. As a sales order is created, the user has access to a plug-in that provides them with additional shipping addresses for the selected customer.
Out of the box, Retail Pro stores a single address in the customer table. As sales order are created Retail Pro populates both the "Bill to" and "Ship to" address from the customer table. The sales order form allows the user to change these values and this new information is written out to the Sales Order table.
It is common for customers to customers to require orders be shipped to different and multiple addresses than the one default location. The plug-in provides the Retail Pro user the ability to create, edit and retrieve additional addresses for their customers. The screen to the right shows the ship-to address selection screen.
